Value-added Tax (VAT)#

When selling goods and services in Italy, VAT ("imposta sul valore aggiunto", "IVA") may apply. You can configure all Italian VAT rates in i-ticket using tax rules, including more complex tax cases (e.g. intra-EU reverse charge transactions).

Invoicing#

E-invoicing#

Italy requires all domestic invoices to be issued using an electronic standard and sent through the national invoicing system ("Sistema di Interscambio", "SdI").

i-ticket Hosted

On i-ticket Hosted, sending invoices through SdI is supported. To get started, go to navigation pathYour event then Settings then Plugins and enable the plugin "E-invoicing for Italy (via Invopop)". Then, go to navigation pathYour event then Settings then E-invoicing fill out the settings and follow all recommendations. Invoices will be transmitted to SdI automatically through our partner Invopop S.L. and their subprocessor A-Cube srl. An additional price per invoice is charged according to our price list.

i-ticket Enterprise and i-ticket Community currently do not support the Italian invoicing process.

More information is available on the website of the European Commission: eInvoicing in Italy.

pretixPOS#

Using a cash register in Italy requires the use of a "Registratore Telematico" (RT). pretixPOS currently does not support RT and can therefore not be used as a cash register in Italy.

SIAE#

SIAE is Italy's association of authors and publishers. If you sell tickets for events involving works protected by SIAE, you must report ticket sales to SIAE using a specialized system. i-ticket does not support this.
